Cookie & Storage Notice

Last updated September 16, 2026

This notice explains how CDL Smart App uses cookies, browser storage, caching, and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What we currently use

CDL Smart App currently uses technologies that are necessary or functional for the service, such as authentication sessions, security controls, account preferences, application continuity, role and workspace settings, progressive-web-app features, service-worker caching, and other features a user requests.

We do not currently place advertising cookies, social-media advertising pixels, or cross-site behavioral-tracking technologies on the service. We do not currently use personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

Browser storage

The service may use session storage, local storage, IndexedDB, caches, or similar browser features to keep a user signed in, remember settings, support offline or installable-app features, protect workflows from accidental interruption, and maintain security state. Some stored values are deleted when a browser session ends while others may persist until they expire, are replaced, or are cleared by the user.

Because driver applications can contain sensitive information, CDL Smart App is designed to keep sensitive identity information in protected server-side storage when saved. Users should still avoid using shared or public devices for employment applications and should sign out when finished.

Authentication and security

Authentication providers may use necessary cookies or browser storage to maintain sessions, refresh authentication state, prevent abuse, and protect accounts. Blocking those technologies may prevent sign-in or other core features from working.

Payments and third-party pages

If you choose a paid plan, you may be redirected to or interact with Square or another disclosed payment provider. That provider may use its own cookies or similar technology under its own privacy and cookie practices. Other third-party services opened through a link may do the same.

Push notifications and PWA features

If a user chooses to enable browser or device notifications, the browser and push-notification infrastructure may store subscription identifiers and related technical information needed to deliver notifications. A user can disable notifications through browser or device settings.

Your choices

Most browsers allow users to view, block, or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking necessary storage may break authentication, saved preferences, offline functionality, or application workflows. Because CDL Smart App does not currently use non-essential advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies, there is not currently a separate advertising-cookie consent toggle.

If our practices change

If we add non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies that require consent or an opt-out under applicable law, we will update this notice and add an appropriate consent or preference mechanism before using those technologies where required.
